UK visa applications fall by more than a third

Number of UK visa applications falls by more than a third in a year

The number of UK visa applications have dropped to 772,200 applicants in the year to March 2025, according to Home Office data. In the preceding 12 months, nearly 1.24 million visa applications were received.


The biggest decline was for overseas health and care workers and their families with applications decreasing by 78% from 359,300 in 2023/24 to 80,700 in 2024/25.
