Pathways to Work
Pathways to Work is Government's wider employment and welfare reform programme aimed at helping more people with health conditions, disabilities and other barriers move into and remain in employment. It focuses on reducing economic inactivity by providing employment support, skills development and personalised interventions for people who are out of work or at risk of leaving work.
Pathways to Work creates a potential recruitment pipeline into sectors experiencing workforce shortages, including health and social care. The programme seeks to help people who may previously have been excluded from the labour market enter sustainable employment, creating opportunities for care providers to recruit from a wider talent pool.
