£200m extra for adult social care

The Care Provider Alliance report that it looks like the headline figure for Adult Social Care is likely to be £880m, a £200m increase on previously announced figures, but far less than the £2bn that the LGA have stated is needed. There is an additional £515m for LAs to cover ENICS, but this is not ring-fenced and is likely to be used to cover LA payroll costs.
